The businesses of our diversified group encompass Microfinance and Money Remittance, Real Estate, Exports & Imports of garments and industrial devices, and ICT Solutions.
Gramcell’s vision is to be a leading provider of Micro Finance and flexible solutions to serve the rural and backward communities. Our target segment is micro enterprise and urban poor with a vision to reach Rural India and SAARC regions. In these regions, the communities, in addition to microfinance, need a whole range of agricultural and business development services such as input supply, training, technical assistance and market linkages. Gramcell’s aim is to open the doors of the global economy for these communities and help export Rural Handicrafts and Agricultural products to the urban and export zones from these communities. Gramcell’s business includes identification, funding and marketing support for such products, in conjunction with local governments and other group companies.
Another of Gramcell’s focus areas is fostering the usage of renewable energy sources in rural communities. Rural electrification is one of the major unachieved agenda of several governments in Asia and Africa and thousands of villages in rural India and the SAARC countries still do not have any reliable access to electricity. In this environment, Gramcell believes that there is a unique, sustainable opportunity to provide and leverage renewable energy products to the rural market through its unique distribution model. These products are based on abundantly available solar & wind energy as well as new technologies such as LED light sources, cranking based chargers & eco-green batteries.
